The spring wedding season has begun!

We hit the ground running as our 2015 wedding season kicked off this weekend with four weddings on our schedule. Below are highlights of some of the flowers:

There are only a couple of weeks in the year where a bride can choose daffodils for her wedding. Crissy and Kevin’s wedding was a vision of spring with yellow daffodils everywhere. Yellow oncidium orchids and white freesia complement the daffodils in the bride’s bouquet.

Tall CenterpiecesThe Renaissance Hotel was the venue for Michelle and Brian’s wedding reception. The pedestal centerpieces include hydrangea, pink and lavender roses, spray roses and sweet pea.

Can you spot the silk flowers in these wedding bouquets?

Lots of weddings this past weekend!  Our three featured brides chose very different looks for their bouquets.  Two of the bouquets had a few silk flowers added to the fresh.  This is a great way to add the look of flowers that may be out of season, or beyond the bride’s budget.

Our first bouquet features orange alstromeria, ivory roses, tinted lavender ranunculus, blue eryngium, white stephanotis and white wax flower:

Our next bouquet is in a teardrop style, and contains pink and white alstromeria, pink lisianthus, white freesia, ivory spray roses and seeded eucalyptus:

Our third bride chose beautiful cherry brandy roses, orange mini calla lilies, magenta cockscomb, orange Asiatic lilies and purple peonies for her bouquet.

Did you spot the silk flowers?  The white stephanotis in the first bouquet, and the purple peonies in the third bouquet are silk.

Moving to one of the ceremony sites, the pews at St. Maurice Church were decorated with hydrangea and simple bows made of wired double-satin ribbon.
